WELCOME TO THE DLB ACADEMY OF SPORT & RECREATION

Summer 2008

Dear parents,

Welcome to the 2008 DLB Academy of Sport and Recreation Summer Soccer Camp. We are thrilled to announce that summer will be our second running year for our over night / day camp for children and youth between the ages of 7-16. This past 2007 Summer Soccer Camp was a success. The campers enjoyed their weeks here and created new friendships. We hope to see them back this coming 2008 Summer. Thank you to all those who participated. We wish you all the best in school. Our facility is located in the Town of Powassan, Ontario. The DLB Academy is situated near Lake Nipissing as well as a vast array of small lakes. The Almaguin Highlands provide many nature and hiking trails, as well as scenery that captures the essence of the small Northern town.

The camp itself will be primarily based on the development of soccer skills as well as opportunity for each camper to work with Councilors who have a well achieved sports background. Each day has been planned out to work on certain aspects of the game. The counselors will help campers by working on each campers self confidence as well as techniques which will provide them with the necessary skills to prevent injury. There are supervised runs through the nature trails and field trips to beaches/lakes in the surrounding area.

In looking ahead and to help you prepare for the summer, we have put together a registration package. This package will help you determine if this camp is right for your child and provides you with the details and procedures to be taken into consideration. Since this is our second year in operation, it is very important that we receive the registration information filled out and back to us as soon as possible.
